திருப்பரங்குன்றத்தில் அடுத்த மாதம் 16ம் தேதியன்று நடக்க இருக்கும் வள்ளி கல்யாண மகோற்சவத்தைப் பற்றி அன்பர்கள் எதிர்நோக்கி உள்ளார்கள்

"அடியேன் முன்னமே மெயில் அனுப்பி இருப்பது தங்களுக்கு ஞாபகம் இருக்கும் என எண்ணுகிறேன். இந்த வைபவத்திற்கு தாங்கள் குடும்ப சகிதம் அவசியம் வந்திருந்து திருப்புகழ் பாடி , ஸ்ரீவள்ளி மணவாளப்பெருமானின் பேரருளுக்கு பாத்திரர்களாகி , சகல செல்வ யோக மிக்க பெரு வாழ்வு அமையப் பெற்று வாழ வேண்டும் என்பது அடியேனின் பிரார்த்தனை. அருணகிரி நாதர் திருப்புகழில் ஒரு கருத்தைக் கூறுவார். அதாவது எந்தக் காரியத்தை செய்தாலும் அதை ஏன்? எதற்காக? என்ன காரியத்திற்காக செய்கிறாய்? என்பதை கேட்டுக் கொண்டே செய்ய வேண்டும் என்பார். அந்த கோணத்தில் இந்த வள்ளி கல்யாணத்தை ஏன் செய்ய வேண்டும் எனும் கேள்வியை நம் மனதிடம் கேட்குங்கால் அடியேன் மனதில் தோன்றியது , நமது குழந்தைகள் அவர்கள் விரும்பிய படியே நல்ல வரன்கள் அமையப்பெற்று அவர்கள் நமது அபிராமி பட்டர் சொன்ன பதினாறு பேர்களையும் பெற்று பெரு வாழ்வு வாழ வேண்டும் . அதற்காக செய்யப்படும் கூட்டு பிரார்த்தனையே தான் இந்த வள்ளி கல்யாணம். திருப்புகழ் தொண்டனின் தொண்டர்கள் செய்யும் கூட்டு முயற்சியே இது. நல்ல பலனை நமது குருஜியும் செந்திலாண்டவனும் அருளிக்கொண்டே இருக்கிறார்கள் என்பது உள்ளங்கை நெல்லிக்கனி என தெளிவாக தெரிகிறது. திருச்செந்தூரிலிருந்து தொடங்கிய இம்முயற்சி, திருத்தணி, சுவாமிமலை நடந்து இப்போது திருப்பரங்குன்றத்தில் நடக்க உள்ளது. அடுத்த வருடம் சோலைமலையிலும் நடக்க அவன் அருளுவான்.

"One of the prominent religious shrines, Thiruparankundram Murugan Temple is among the 6 temples of Lord Murugan, called as Arupadaiveedu. This temple has been carved out of a mountain by cutting rocks adding on to its overall magnetism.
Thiruparankundram Temple was built in the 8th century during the Pandyan reign. This temple, with its shrine carved out of a rock, has separate shrines for Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Goddess Durga, Lord Vinayaka and of other prominent Hindu deities. This temple, which is also historically important, is known for a special feature. In this temple, idols of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu face each other, which is a unique aspect in a Hindu temple. From this temple, sun and moon can be seen together, which is a major attraction among devotees.

The presiding deity of this temple is Parangirinathar, one of the names of Lord Shiva with his divine consort Goddess Parvati as Goddess Aavudai Nayaki. Outside the sanctum, devotees can see carvings depicting Lord Shiva in various dance forms. Along with the idols of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu facing each other which is indeed a unique site, another special feature of this Lord Murugan temple is the magnificent statue of Nandi, Mayil and his vehicle Mouse that have been artistically carved. It is located in the front of Kodi Maram. Tourists can also see carvings of Mahishasura Mardini, Karpaga Vinayagar, Andarabaranar and Uggirar on the rocks.
This temple has distinguishably artistic mandapams as well. Aasthaana Mandapam is one of the most attractive parts with various exquisitely carved pillars. Others mandapams such as Kambathadi Mandapam, Maha-mandapam and Ardha Mandapam are also worth noticing.
