MALAYALAM AND ENGLISH LANGUAGES

உலகின் பல பாகங்களில் சூழ்நிலை காரணமாக வாழும் திருப்புகழ் அன்பர்கள் துரதிஷ்டவசமாக  தமிழில் தேர்ச்சிபெற முடியாமல்,எழுதவும் படிக்கவும் முடியாத நிலையில் உள்ளனர் .அடுத்த சந்ததியினர் நிலையும் அப்படியே .மற்றும் மற்ற மொழியை தாய் மொழியாக கொண்ட அன்பர்களும் திருப்புகழில் தங்களை ஈடு படுத்திக்  கொண்டுள்ளனர்.

இந்நிலையில்,அக்குறைகளைப் போக்கி ,திருப்புகழை அப்பழுக்கில்லாத வகையில் கற்கும் பொருட்டு ,அன்பர்களில் சிலர் அரும்பாடுபட்டு ,வெறும் எழுத்து மாற்றம் மட்டுமல்லாது,சந்தங்களோடு,குருஜியின் வழியைக் கடைப் பிடிக்கும் வகையில் மற்ற மொழிகளில் அப்படியே வடித்துள்ளனர்.உதாரணமாக தியாகராஜ ஸ்வாமிகளின் கீர்த்தனைகளை பல மொழிகளில் காணலாம்.இசைக்கும் பொழுது ஒரே வழி,ஒரே பாவம் ,ஒரே லயிப்பு என்பது கண்கூடு.அதே வகையில் நம் அன்பர்களும் மற்ற மொழி எழுத்துக்களில் கற்கிறார்கள்.வழிபாடுகளிலும் ஒரே குரலில் இசைக்கிறார்கள் என்பது நிதர்சனமான உண்மை.

அத்தகைய பிற மொழிகளில் பிரசுரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள  அன்பர்களின் படைப்புகளை அன்பர்களின் நலம் கருதி அளிக்க விரும்புகிறோம்.

திருவனந்தபுரம் அருளாளர்  குரு முனைவர் பாலுஅய்யர் அவர்கள் மலையாளத்திலும்,ஆங்கிலத்திலும் திருப்புகழ் பாடல்களை வடிவமைத்துள்ளார்.அது பற்றிய விபரங்களை பற்றி அவர் கூறுவதை கேட்போம்.

TIV Book in Malayalam script - Third Edition

To meet the demand of the anbarkal attending our Thiruppukazh classes in Thiruvananthapuram, who could not read Tamil language, we decided to publish Thiruppukazh Isai Vazhipadu (TIV) in Malayalam script.    As per Guruji Raghavan’s suggestion, we took great effort to transliterate the Tamil words to Malayalam.   In this process, we referred to Tamil, Malayalam and Sanskrit dictionaries as well as the books by Chengalvaraya Pillai and Kripananda Variyar.  

First edition of TIV in Malayalam.  We submitted the first copy of the Malayalam book to Guruji in December 2006 in Chennai.   We published the second edition of the Malayalam book in May 2010.  

Now we have published the third edition of the TIV book in Malayalam script.   The book will include 501 songs (using the new numbering system), Kandar Anubhuthi, Mayil, Vel and Seval viruththangaL, Thiru-vakuppukaL and Kandar AlankAram.   The books are produced using spiral binder to keep the cost low. 

The cost of the TIV book in Malayalam is Rs 200.00

TIV Book in English script - First Edition

Several versions of TIV in English script are available.   Most of them are using phonetically incorrect spelling.  Many do not include the ‘chanDams’ of the songs.  

To correct the above, we have published the TIV book in English script, using phonetically correct spelling and including the ‘Chandams’ of the songs.    The books are produced using spiral binder to keep the cost low. 

The cost of the TIV book in English is Rs 250.00
